I love My Race Ragz! (giveaway)

Fri, Sep 23, 2011

Reviews, Videos

Ok, before I launch into my yammerings of love for My Race Ragz allow me to revisit what I declared about doing few reviews and giveaways.

Im doing fewer reviews and giveaways (rimshot!).

I will no longer do reviews without giveaways attached (to me it rings all too uncomfyclose to Neener! Neener! Look what I got!!).

In addition, I rarely say yes to giveaways pitched to me.

Most likely, if you see something here, Ive sought the brand out, declared my adoration & asked to review/give.

That said, My Race Rags reached out to me.

And I couldnt say yes quickly enough.*

It is such a cool concept (how long have we all been whining for personalized NICE tech shirts?) and their social media person is one of us.

As I  mention in the snippet-video below the only struggle I had with My Race Ragz was my own inability to decide what to put on the tees.

Apparently one the world is my mizfitOYSTER I get paralyzed—who knew?

Please to enjoy my 30 second review as filmed by the Tornado**:

Please to enjoy the Tornado’s 30 second review of the xxs adult tee My Race Ragz was so kind as to send her***:

Bottom line:

  • I adore the fact we can now design our own tech tees! Runner or avowed NON-runner.
  • The tees were super comfy and not clingy when the Tornado and I tested them out along the streets of our ‘hood.
  • Even though I was initially paralyzed by all the choices—I now wanna get a tee for each person in my family for Hanukkah

Bottom bottom line?

  • As always I had to procure me a treat for you.  The USA and CANADA you.  You can be entered for the lowlow cost of a comment below.  Be you walker, wogger, yogi or kettle bell’er what would you put on the front (and/or back!) of YOUR My Race Ragz tee?

winner announced 9.30.11

*FTC the tees were free! The silly logo on front & ramble child are both my own.

** Id apologize for the fact you cant really see my face/pretend I didnt wanna hurt the Tornado’s feelings & ask for a reshoot—but I looked tired that day. I like the partial obscurity!

***translation = when she refers to the AARGH she means the girly skull #youllhavethat

    great site!!
    I’d get one that says
    YOU”RE GETTING CHICKED, MAN!
with a little chick wearing a pink bow, running.
    Super Cute

  2. Brandi B says:

I have to steal your idea (my 6 year old son would love it)

    How do I define me?
I’m Elijah’s mom (with a little boy wearing a football helmet)

  3. Leslie says:

    You two are so cute.

    Mine would read I ROCK!!

  4. Izzy says:

    I’m a power walker.
    Feel my power!!

(That would be my tee :) )

  5. Erica says:

I so want a tee! They are adorable. Id love to own clothing with my blog name on it

  6. Kimmie says:

    Mine would say:

    SWIMMER IN TRAINING.

I would wear it to and fro the pool.

  7. Tess says:

“On Three” for the front symbolizing my three boys, action in life and being ready for it. On the back I would put “Set Go!” I think the pic on the front would be a mom with some asseccories and running shoes! P.S. Tornado is ADORABLE!!!! Thanks for sharing her comments too.

  8. Nettie says:

Mine would say I CAN DO THIS.

How sweet is the Tornado with her I love my mom comment.

    You done good, Miz.

  9. Runner Girl says:

    Eat my dust!

(on the back. I’m still thinking about the front LOL)

  10. Helen says:

    Happy runner (on front)

    Running to coffee (on back)

    THank you!

  11. Veggie says:

    Front “Strong Girl Fitness”
Back “Save the earth, flip a tire!”

  12. Becky says:

My shirt would say “I can go a little longer”. In my most recent post I described how it is my new mantra and how it helped run a mile without walk breaks for the first time in 20 years. :)

  13. Heather @ Not a DIY Life says:

    “I run. What’s your superpower?”

PS. I seriously love the Tornado. She and my Ladybug HAVE to meet one day :-)

  14. Valerie says:

Hmm…since I really only run if I’m being chased by someone with a sharp object, I’d probably have to put “Please help me” or “Call 911″ on mine.

Just kidding, of course. Mine would most definitely say “To Be the Best Me I Can Be” as I seem to have adopted that as my life motto.

But all that aside, I love yours. Especially the AARGH. :-)

  15. The Delicate Place says:

    i’d put: finish strong

  16. Coco says:

LOL, Valerie! I love that Tornado said “I like sweating in it!” Honestly, I’d like your design to give to my daughter, but I think I’d go for Running With Perseverance for my own. Yes, its my blog name, but its also my personal mission — never give up!

  17. Tia says:

Mine would say I already won on the front and I lost 50 pounds on the back.

    Love the videos!

  18. Healthy Mamma says:

    Weight training rocks!

(That would be my tee LOL)

  19. Renee says:

I’d create a whole collection of philosopher running tees. “Foucault protect me from your followers!”
“Butler protect me from your followers!”
“Cornel West protect me from your marketing machine!”
And so on and so forth.

  20. Barbara says:

On the front: Only runs when chased.

On the back: Chase me so I can start running.

On second thought, nah, that would attract all kinds of crazy.

How about for the front: Fit by 40
And the back: 5K or bust!

  21. Shelley B says:

So glad these are out there - I wanted a personalized shirt last year when I was running my first half and just couldn’t find any manufacturer where I could get one shirt for a reasonable price.

I’d either get one with my blog logo on it (for me) or be benevolent and make up something cool for Jeff for HIS first half in December.

  22. Lori says:

    Mine would be Biking Chick!

  23. Heather says:

    My tee would be:

    Crossft RULES!!

  24. Laurie says:

    Mine would be:

How about YOU try to TRI?

  25. Laurie says:

As always love the videos and want your arms.

  26. Angi says:

Mine would be Strength, Energy, Love, Focus (SELF) around the Om symbol.

For me, all of these things bring together who I am, who I want to be, and the interconnection between my physical, mental, and emotional health.

Although I kick ass would be a close second.

  27. Yoli says:

    “I won when I entered”

  28. Etta says:

“I lapped the people still on the couch!”

    Thanks for including Canada!

  29. Kerri O says:

Not sure what I would put on the shirt!
But, commenting on the giveaway review thing. I had a company ask me to review one (really nice, fancy) scale, then giveaway the bare bones simple scale. Felt sort of like bait and switch to my readers. I told them I would be glad to review the same scale that I giveaway (even the simpler one) and they said no. Yeesh. I’m pretty over it.

  30. Becks says:

There are two options so far..

Option 1) front: running & I are not friends
    Back: we’re aquaintences :)

Option 2) front: If I can do it…
    Back: I can do it!

There’s more, but I haven’t had enough coffee yet.

  31. Courtney says:

Wow! This is awesome. I have been looking for a site that I could make performance tees for those of us who run for the CF Foundation. I designed a logo for our team , so that would go on the front, and “Team Heather” would go on the back. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

  32. Laura says:

Great videos!!! Tornado is super cute!!!

    Front: Run, Read, Sleep

    Maybe with woman silhouette
    running w/a book

Back: Believe or maybe Strength Rules!

  33. @FitInMyHeart (Dr. Mo) says:

OH MY GOSH!!!! My heart MELTS everytime I see cute lil “T” do her thing!!! I LOVE these Ts!!! Need them for my #the3day walk late October!!! Thanks for the intro!!!
    Much Love!!!
    Dr. Mo ?

  34. Cammy@TippyToeDiet says:

I’m with you on the paralysis. What I’d put on *my* shirt would require massive amounts of pondering. My time might be better spent just ordering one of the pre-designed bike shirts. :)

  35. Nikki says:

    You 2 are so cute!

    front ‘coach’
back ‘something is better than nothing’

  36. Amanda says:

I believe I would get seven and label them with the days of the week. That way I wouldn’t have to think when picking workout clothes. Sadly, I am serious. My brain has finally reached “overload” status. Having an almost-teenager is apparently just about all my feeble mind can handle!

  37. Loving the Bike says:

Nice post and as always I love your honesty and attitude. I love the t-shirt and am with you in feeling the cool vibe that company is putting out.

    Darryl

  38. Erin says:

Mine would say “Unleash the Beast” on the front with some kind of animal or werewolf in a cage and “Keep runnin’ runnin’” on the back. :)

  39. shannon says:

“and my favorite thing is just my mom” died.

  40. Sinner Ella says:

First I wamtvyo say that the tornado is awesomely adorable. The fact that you’re her favorite should be on your next shirt. Next, it’s oddly alarming that your voice and mine are similar to the point of my tornado asking when I put a video online. And finally, my shirt would moat definitely say “Bad-asser Than the Boys” with a muscle bound girly skull. Gotta have it, NOW!!!!!

  41. Tiff @ Love Sweat and Beers says:

Cool! Customized stuff is more fun than regular stuff, no matter what it is.

  42. lindsay says:

the tornado’s review cracked me up! I’m sold!

  43. Jackie says:

    “Yoga is my Prozac!”

  44. Tom says:

    I’d put on the front:

My wife is the real runner in the family.

    On the back:

    No, really.

  45. Wanda says:

    Couch to couch.

    (Like the Couch to 5k :) )

  46. lee / fitville says:

I love these shirts! Checked out the website and there are so many bike images to choose from. Let’s Roll!

  47. Kimberley says:

    Mine would say #ilovemylife

The Tornado is waaaaay too adorable and so is her mama!!!

  48. Elizabeth J. says:

Awesome! I would put my husband’s logo from one of his movies of a quail driving a dune buggy. That way, he’d be with me on my runs.

  49. Erin says:

That’s so freaking awesome! Think of all the awesome art I could do on a shirt!

  50. Jody - Fit at 53 says:

LOVE the reviews & especially Tornado loving her mom as part of her review!!!! So cute! Cool that Christie is part of this too!!!

Like you, so many choices BUT mine would be something like the saying I love:

Strong is the new sexy! OR Muscles are cool!

I might change it to “I am worth it” but one of those 3 OR something similar!

  51. charlotte says:

Okay, the Tornado interviewing you?? That will become a MizFit family favorite for years to come. And I love anything I can personalize so this is so fun. There are too many plain tees in the world - yay for more fun stuff! I’m bad with slogans but I totally want one now that says “Gym Buddy”! Gonna go check out their site and see how much it would be to kit out my whole crew!

  52. addy says:

    Yes - front
    You can - back

  53. Quix says:

Way too fun. I wish they would come in not-white but it’s still just soooo cool. I loved some of the pre-set ones (A half marathon is a 5k with a 10 mile warm up, No one told me there would be hills, etc), but I’d really have to think hard for something clever.

  54. Dana says:

Gosh this is hard. I just got the best sleeveless shirt - has a turtle and says I AM running!

I love the I am not a slow runner I am just doing that to mess with your mind!!! And then go girl go on the front!

  55. TwoDiffSocks says:

    on the front: laugh now…

on the back; weight training RULES!

    :p

  56. Tara Burner says:

OMG cannot say enough how adorable tornado is!! she’s sooo cute!

and besides wanting a shirt, I want your arms too ok?

  57. Tara Burner says:

there’s toooo many designs to choose from and my own creativity is shot right now (can I blame it on catching my daughters funky cold?) but I do like the ‘strength’ design

  58. Jo Anna says:

Make today count!! What a cool idea…

  59. Ron says:

Love the videos, your daughter is so pretty

  60. Mia Jones says:

“Keep Calm and RUN ON”…a riff on the famous London Blitz slogan.

  61. Amanda says:

I’m a wogger:-) “No matter how slow I run, I’m still faster than someone sitting on the couch”

  62. Bonnie says:

What a fun giveaway and great idea for a company! I think my shirt would say: “Easy. Light. Smooth. Go!” (part of a mantra I repeat when I feel like I’m dying on a run) or “Life to the Full” …so many thoughts and great ideas! Thanks for a giveaway open to Canadians too. :D

  63. Arena Thompson says:

Mine would be ‘keep calm and go run!’ :D

  64. Bring Pretty Back says:

    What a cool company!!
    Have a pretty day!
    Kristin

  65. Carrie says:

Love the idea of personalized shirts, particularly in a breathable fabric!

I think I would use something like: One Foot in Front of the Other. Repeat as Necessary.

Though I really loved Angi’s SELF suggestion! And, I’m a huge fan of the extremely simple: BELIEVE

  66. Kim says:

Love everyone’s ideas! Mine would probably say “Breathe.” It’s a song that I run to (from the musical In the Heights - yes, I run to show tunes!) It’s something that I have to keep reminding myself.

  67. Morgan says:

I love all the ideas on here! Mine would say “Run Like a Mother”

  68. Jeannie says:

FitMom I Luve For The CHALLENGE!

  69. Barbara says:

“Spinnin’s my thing” on the front

    “Let’s go!” on the back

On the front, I’d have “Progress, not perfection” and on the back, I’d say “Run your own race”

  72. Mary says:

    You two are the best!

On the back “You can REST at the END!”
